“Coming off his freshman year, Dallin Farnsworth had run a 5k lifetime PR of 13:53, and followed that up by receiving the Freshman of the Year Award in cross country, while leading the BYU Cougars to a top 12 finish at the NCAA championship. Midway through that season (2015) Dallin developed a stress fracture in his right foot, but continued to train and compete through the end of the season.”

“From that point on he sustained 2 additional navicular stress fractures (right and left feet) and developed a disease in his foot called Osteochondritis Desiccants-where the blood flow to the bone is cut off and the bone marrow dries up. Dallin spent the next 2 years having multiple surgeries and spent countless hours in rehab.”

“After his recovery, Dallin was able to run 28:56 in the 10k and qualify for his first ever outdoor track championship final, earning All-American Honors. Following the 2019 track season, Dallin took a medical redshirt and grad transferred to Utah State for the MBA program and to be coached by Artie Gulden, former Highland High School cross country  coach, where Dallin attended high school. In the 2019 cross country season, Dallin became the first ever Aggie to win the MWC individual title - setting a MWC record in the 8k with a time of 23:12 and helping his team win their first ever MWC title in program history.”
